This is the tale of two visionaries: Mr. Prashanth Nair, driven by passion and determination, and Mr. Ajoy Shaw, whose technical expertise brought that vision to life. Together, they have carved a niche in India’s wine industry.
Their Reserve Shiraz 2023 won a silver medal at Syrah du Monde 2024, the only wine from that vintage to receive such an honour. Remarkably, this was the first harvest of Myne. Adding to their accolades, their Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon achieved a Grand Gold at the Spiritz Achievers’ Awards 2024 with a near-perfect score of 99.8/100.

Philosophy of Myne: “We believe 90% of a wine’s quality comes from the vineyard, with winemaking shaping the rest,” says Mr. Nair. Combining traditional hand-processing with modern techniques, they prioritise preserving delicate characteristics without compromising integrity.
Terroir
The unique temperature variations between Nashik’s Godavari Valley and southern Maharashtra’s Bhima/Krishna Valley produce whites with freshness and reds with refined tannins and bold flavours.
Marketing
Mr. Nair champions simplifying wine appreciation, encouraging consumers to trust their palates, rather than being overwhelmed by technical jargon.
A delightful visit to their winery, was arranged by wine enthusiast Mr. Manoj Jagtap.
